TRAVERSE CITY – Patrick Wilkes-Krier of Ann Arbor still remains in solo first place from -11 after the second round of the Michigan Open at the Grand Travers Resort on Tuesday.

Wilkes-Krier, who finished second last year, scored 64 of the best rounds on the first day and then finished the second round with 69. He finished the day with 5 birds and an eagle on the 3rd hole.

In second place is a resident of Dearborn Heights Joseph Yushchik. He made a huge move up the leaderboard with a -9 round to move up to a 7-overall overall standings in the tournament.

And in third place – amateur Coalter Smith of Grosse Point Farms with -6 after two days of play.

The third round is set to start on Wednesday morning and the first group will start at 8am
