Kalamazoo, Michigan (WOOD) – Bronson Healthcare will hold a virtual vigil on Tuesday night to remember and honor those affected by COVID-19.

The virtual vigil of Healing Steps Forward, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., will include the lighting of three candles. One candle will be lit in memory of those who died from COVID-19, another will be lit for those grieving, and a third will be lit for those who cared for others, according to a Bronson Healthcare release.

You can also “light a candle” and leave a message on the Vigil website.

“It’s a really inclusive event, it’s for everyone,” said Terry Moore, vice president of development for Bronson Healthcare. Every comment that stays there – some sad, some uplifting, some – a mixture of both – but our staff reads them every day and it makes a difference and demonstrates that the community mourns with them, moves forward with them and also pause for a moment.

The vigil is a chance for the community and Bronson staff to come together and grieve as they move toward healing as the number of COVID-19s continues to improve.
