Sandra Bachman of Batavia, Ohio, is accused of false reporting or threatening terrorism, which is a 20-year crime. The 58-year-old girl is also charged with ethnic intimidation, a two-year felony and two felony counts of misuse of telecommunications services in connection with reports she allegedly left to Democratic State officials Cynthia Johnson of Detroit and Sarah Anthony of Lansing.
Johnson, who has been a state representative since 2019, has previously faced threats. In 2020 Johnson said she received numerous death threats and other alarming phone calls, text messages, and emails. These reports ranged from racist epithets to threats of violence similar to what she allegedly received from Bachmann last June.
According to Nessel’s office, Bachmann’s voicemail warned Johnson that “you will die.”
“Well, baby doll, fuck you, monkey, we’ll get you,” Bachmann allegedly said in a section of voicemail provided by Nessel’s office. “You will die. You are one of the most terrible offenders. In fact, we also have a level, in similar points, how much you cost if we kill you … You will die and I rejoice in it. The whole world will rejoice, just know that. Sleep well. ”
