GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The streets of downtown Grand Rapids were packed with hundreds of people for the Santa Parade Saturday despite snowy conditions.

This year’s parade had more than 100 participants, returning after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

“I like all the dancers that came through. They were so interesting and so kind,” said Lena McDonough.

The Junior Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce hosted the parade. The theme was Christmas around the world.

Guests included Miss Michigan and of course the WOODTV8 crew.

The Grinch even made his way through the warehouse. He couldn’t steal the crowd’s joy, but he made way for the biggest guest of all.

“I can’t believe I saw Santa,” said one child.
