The Los Angeles Chargers It’s been a long week since Thursday night’s game in Week 2, but 10 days may not be enough for Justin Herbert to recover.

Herbert suffered a fractured rib cartilage during the Chargers loss Kansas City Chiefs last week.

The third-year QB is listed as questionable Sunday after missing Friday’s practice. He was restricted on each of the previous two days.

however, Herbert said the plan it’s that he has to go through the warm-up before the game and the decision will be made based on how his pre-game training goes.

Herbert says his ribs feel good if he quits, but “that decision will be made on Sunday.”

“This is a decision we have a few days left to make. We’re not playing today, so we’re playing Sunday,” he said, via Pro Football Talk.

Head coach Brandon Staley echoed Herbert’s words.

“It’s day by day. We’re going to move forward in the next few days and see how it goes,” he said – said the second-year head coach.

Chase Daniel ran with the first team in Friday’s practice, and he started in Herbert’s absence.

“Whatever the plan is, I know our team will be prepared and do their best,” Herbert said.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) is also doubtful after missing last week’s contest, while center Corey Linsley (knee) and cornerback JC Jackson are doubtful.
