LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Spirit Halloween is donating $140,000 to the University of Michigan at Sparrow Children’s Center.

Spirit Halloween says last fall was a particularly successful season and, as in years past,
will use a portion of its profits to benefit young patients through the Spirit of Children program.

“Looking at kids who need to be put on an IV or have an MRI and they have to understand what they’re going to have to go through for the next couple of hours. Watching our Child Life team interact with these children and put them at ease. This is something I see every day, and I know these funds will go to support,” said Dr. Steve Martin, UofM co-director of health care at Sparrow Children’s Center.

Spirit Halloween claims to have donated more than $800,000 to Sparrow since the program began in 2007.
