MUSKEGON, Michigan (DRES) – The polar dive is the largest fundraiser for the Special Olympics in Michigan. Later this month, hundreds of people dive and jump into Lake Muskegon.

The event will take place on March 19 at the event center at Fricano Place. Buses will take participants to the place where they will dive and then back to the center for the award ceremony and celebration.

Family activities are planned for the whole day, including music and raffles.

The money raised during the polar fall goes to support more than 22,000 Michigan Special Olympics athletes who train and compete year-round.

You can register for the event online.
