GRAND HAVEN, MICHINIC – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to avoid the area near the Hofma court in Grand Haven, as lawmakers are responding to a “current critical incident.”

Ottawa County officials responded to a house in the Hoffma Court area of ​​13,600 after receiving a call about a 40-year-old woman with a gun who fired at the house.

Deputies say the woman remains in the house, but two family members were able to leave the house.

The sheriff’s office urges neighbors to hide in the basement of their homes.

The population is asked to avoid this area.

Deputies say critical response units and negotiators are trying to contact the woman.
