LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – For the holiday weekend, M-DOT is removing lane restrictions on more than half of its road and bridge projects.

Restrictions will be lifted across the state to ease travel delays.

The restrictions were lifted around 3pm on Friday afternoon and will continue until 6am on Tuesday.

A total of 81 of the 146 projects across the state will have their lane restrictions removed.

While drivers will be suspended in most M-DOT work zones over the weekend, drivers are advised that equipment and some traffic configurations may remain in place, such as temporary changes or shoulder closures.
