Lansing, Michigan (WLNS) – Lansing Mayor Andy Shore has announced on Facebook that he has tested positive for COVID.
He wrote: “After two vaccinations, revaccination and two years of negative tests for COVID-19, I unfortunately contracted the virus.”
Shore wrote that he had a negative test on Friday, but this weekend chose self-quarantine as a precaution.
He said he passed the test again today and found it to be positive.
Shore wrote: “I have mild cold-like symptoms and I will be working from home as long as necessary, continuing to do the job I have been chosen to do.”
At the end of his post, Mayor Shore encouraged people to get vaccinated and upgraded if they hadn’t already.
