Lansing, Michigan (WLNS) – Lansing City Council passed ordinances tonight aimed at improving or reusing several structures in Lansing.

Both 224 South Washington (former Hookah and Club) and 1102 South Washington’s REO Town (former Standard Oil Building) have been approved for the project’s obsolete areas and will be prepared for rehabilitation.

2130 West Holmes Rd in Southwest Lansing (formerly Pleasant Grove School), was approved at a hearing on an apartment building and development project.

1020 West Hillsdale (former Union Missionary Baptist Church) was approved at a hearing on affordable housing.

The city council also approved seven founding members of the new Lansing Culture and Arts Council.
