HOLLAND TWP. – Four people were injured in an accident involving two cars near the lake.
The crash happened just after 5 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and North River Avenue in the city of Holland.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the 41-year-old Dutch woman was driving a Toyota Highlander west on Douglas Avenue and, trying to turn left, did not yield to a 28-year-old woman driving east.
There were two passengers with the Highlander driver, both of whom received non-life-threatening injuries. The 71-year-old passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The rest of the injured passengers received medical treatment.
An investigation into the crash continues at the sheriff’s office.
