Another beloved Detroit restaurant is up for grabs.
Eastside Detroit Rose’s Fine Food and Wine Eatery was listed for sale at $600,000 Thursday. The prospective buyer will inherit the property and business, including all kitchen equipment and the liquor licence.
O’Connor Real Estate, which is handling the sale, posted the listing on social networksechoing the community’s love of a corner restaurant with an outdoor patio, herb garden and homemade baked goods.
“Like everyone in Detroit, we love roses and look forward to seeing someone new carry the torch that has lit up this special corner of the East Village for the past eight years,” it said. “Thanks for feeding us, Rose!”
Rose’s has received national praise over the years from the likes The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journaland It’s delicious to eat. It was launched in 2014 by Lucy Carnegie and Molly Mitchell, who were applauded for offering workers a starting wage of $15 during the pandemic.
