BRIGHTON — Cub Scout Pack 344 is partnering with Brighton’s bountiful harvest to collect non-perishable food during the Brighton Remembrance Day Parade on Monday 29 May.
“This will be done by our Scouts and families along the parade route, so we encourage those who attend the parade to bring food items to the parade to help support our mission,” said Cub Scout Pack 344 leader Karin Michalak.
According to Michalak, Cub Scout Pack 344 is made up of 16 elementary school students from St. Patrick’s School.
The parade will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. starting at Brighton High School. They will walk to Seventh Street, then Main Street, then First Street and across the Ridge to the Veterans Memorial, collecting food along the way. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable foods.
“Give them to the scouts and their families to help fill the trailer,” Michalak said.
