On Friday, the Department of Industrial and Industrial Engineering at the University of Michigan passed seminar “Sustainable supply chain: the use of agility in the world after the pandemic.” This discussion focused on evolution supply chain – or the necessary measures needed by companies to ensure that consumers receive their products – after a pandemic and how companies can remain resilient to change. The two had a conversation Kinaxis executives, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Anne Robinson and John Sickard, President and CEO.

According to their website, Kinaxis is a company that develops supply chain management, management, sales and operations planning software that needs to constantly adapt to the rapidly evolving supply environment.

Sicard said that while the supply chain is a very technical task, the pandemic has posed serious challenges to the functionality of the discipline as many reliable models have collapsed during the pandemic.
