Colgate is there hiring experienced Associate Analyst I – Finance at their Mumbai location. The Supply Chain Financial Analyst is responsible for cost and inventory and fixed asset activities.

What you will do:

Perform period closing and post-closing verification activities.

Fixed asset accounting and capital budget monitoring.

Record of purchase and disposal of fixed assets in the accounting system.

Conducts periodic reviews of the fixed assets schedule to determine the location and identification of idle assets, if any.

Reconcile the balance in the fixed assets subsidiary ledger with the general ledger.

Run depreciation for all fixed assets.

Amortization forecast for budget purposes – including amortization of forecasted costs.

Accounting for restructuring projects.

Works on comprehensive analysis to provide insight – eg impairment or restructuring projects, new plant creation.

Run a monthly plant performance report.

Conduct MWIP reporting and analysis.

Perform adjustment of basic data on fixed assets.

Providing FA data to support tax, statutory and regulatory law.

Maintaining Y/E asset records.

Carry out costing of new products and periodic revision of the cost.

Calculate, place and distribute JE.

Allocate product overhead based on processing stage.

Conduct a cost center review and resolve discrepancies, if any.

Prepare daily/weekly purchase price variance analysis report.

Execute internal orders daily/weekly.

Prepare monthly expense reports.

Post monthly standard billing and solution-based billing.

Calculation, review and approval of inventory reserve requirements including SLOB on a monthly basis.

Analyze the profitability of the product.

Perform a process reconciliation.

Analyze actual costs versus budgeted costs and explain variances.

Preparation of standard cost estimates for commercial and manufacturing sites.

Perform a budget calculation.

Works on complex analysis to provide insights such as global category type.

Perform FI / CO / PA reconciliation monthly.

Perform SOX assessment and compliance.

Qualifications for this job:

B.Com or the CWA.

3-5 years.

Experience with SAP.

The experience of closing the month.

Working knowledge of SOX.

Advanced knowledge of cost accounting and production.
