CADILLAC — The Cadillac football team has had a great run over the past three years, winning three district titles and making a state championship appearance in 2020. The Vikings hope to keep it that way under their new head coach.
Sean Jackson replaces Cody Mallory, who accepted a job in Spring Lake. In the first week of training, the players start to get used to his style of play.
“People want to learn, really want to commit to a new coach, a new offense, everything that’s changed with it, like everybody was ready,” Cadillac senior Derek Rudd said. “Everybody has been totally committed to the cause since the day they got here.”
“I love him. I think we all do. He came in and was ready to go,” said Cadillac senior Caleb McKinley. “It wasn’t like, ‘Let me introduce myself.’ It was like, ‘This is how we let’s do things.”He’s ready to go.He’s got us ready to go, moving forward to learn everything we need.
The Vikings will play their first game of the season on the road against Midland.
