ST. Joseph, Michigan (AP) – A woman from Michigan will soon celebrate an important birthday. How old? Look at her decorative shoulder.

Gloria Weberg has a “NY NY 1922” tattoo on her left arm, the year and place of her birth.

March 2 marks Weberg’s 100th birthday, which is not the typical age for a tattoo artist to visit. But that’s what she did every 10 years after she turned 80, This was reported by the Herald-Palladium.

Her year of birth and New York are under the goddess representing Mother Earth – added in the 80s – and among the seven stars representing her children she added in the 90s.

Weberg and her late husband started their family in the Chicago area. She received her college diploma at age 55 from the University of Chicago and worked as a social worker.

They moved to St. Joseph 30 years ago.

“My secret is to be active,” Weberg said of her longevity. “To be aware of what’s going on in the world in every way, from what my kids have been doing, their education, how important it is to me.”

She does aerobics while watching TV news and regularly drinks a glass of red wine.

Tattoo at 110?

“Probably something like, ‘Are you still here?’ or “I’m still here,” Weberg said.
